Coking not only increases the thermal resistance of the tube wall and reduces the heat transfer coefficient, leading to an increase in wall temperature and local overheating, but also reduces the inner diameter of the furnace tube, increases the pressure drop of the liquid, decreases the processing capacity, lowers the ethylene yield, corrodes the furnace tube, reduces the mechanical properties and service life of the furnace tube, and increases the production cost of ethylene.

■ Mechanism of action
This coking inhibitor is a multi-component composite product, and its principle of action is mainly based on the following aspects:
Passivation of metal surfaces: At high temperatures, certain components in the inhibitor will react with the metal on the wall of the cracking furnace (such as Ni, etc.) to form sulfide metal, passivating the metal surface and inhibiting the catalytic coking process.
Changing the Free Radical Reaction Process: The HS * free radicals generated by inhibitors can change the original free radical reaction pathway inside the furnace tube, inhibit the free radical coking process, and reduce the generation of coke.
Clearing effect: Not only can it suppress coking, but it can also change the structure of the original coking layer inside the furnace wall, making it easier to detach and achieving a certain coke cleaning effect.
Protect the inner wall of the furnace tube: S protective film is formed on the inner wall of the furnace tube to prevent the generation and adhesion of coke, while also preventing corrosion of the inner wall of the furnace tube.
